Tiered IT Project Manager – Wellington Contract

IT Project Manager – Contracting – 12 months

• Contract role in a stable, secure environment of the large government agency based out of Wellington handling projects which has a deep sense of purpose to transform the society.
• IT Project Manager will take a lead role in the end-to-end delivery of complex systems and product solutions across a broad spectrum of platforms, covering development, infrastructure, and cloud domains, using an Agile approach for project delivery.

· This role will initially be focused on delivery management of work within Technology’s Core Platforms (Storage, Compute and Cloud), Voice and Networks space.

IT Project Management

· Ability to take full ownership from inception to successful completion of complex projects with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies.

· Ability to select methods and tools, using iterative techniques, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained.

· Dependant on project requirements, you may be asked to act as Scrum Master

· Strong ability to Monitor and control of resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget

· Experience with managing expectations of all project stakeholders at Senior level.

· Ability to Translate communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific tasks.

· Operational experience to seek effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components

· Ability to Monitor and maintain all required financial records for compliance and audit to all agreed requirements.

· Contributes to financial planning and budgeting

· Reviews information systems for compliance with legislation and specifies any required changes

The ideal candidate:

• Highly experienced and skilled end-to-end project manager in Agile methodologies
• Experience in complex systems and product solutions Storage, Compute, Cloud Platforms
• Experience in multi-tier Stakeholder management
