Master Scheduler – Enterprise Energy

A leading energy provider is seeking a highly experienced Master Scheduler to join a large-scale transformation initiative spanning multiple enterprise systems. In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth orchestration of cross-platform schedules and provide critical support to project delivery through detailed planning, reporting, and automation.

You’ll work closely with the PMO, delivery teams, and technical leads to develop and manage schedules that keep large, interdependent projects aligned and on track.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

  • 📍 Location: Melbourne (Hybrid/Flexible options available)
  • 💰 Day Rate: $1050 + GST
  • 📅 Duration: 12-month rolling contract
  • ⚙️ Key Deliverables: Enterprise scheduling, cross-system automation, workload optimisation, and SLA compliance

THE ROLE:

  • Manage and maintain integrated enterprise-wide schedules across various platforms and programs.
  • Develop, baseline, and monitor detailed schedules using Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams.
  • Produce and maintain summary-level reports and dashboards for senior leadership and program teams.
  • Support project managers in planning, tracking, milestone monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Integrate multiple schedules and perform regular status updates and impact assessments.
  • Implement version control processes and scheduling standards across the portfolio.
  • Lead stakeholder workshops to elicit schedule estimation inputs and validate timelines.
  • Support automation and scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M, Autosys) for job execution and cross-system orchestration.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in project scheduling and enterprise workload management.
  • Previous experience as a Master Scheduler would be highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-system schedules across enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Project and scheduling methodologies (baseline, critical path, earned value).
  • Hands-on experience with integrated schedulers like Control-M, Tivoli, Autosys, Redwood, or ActiveBatch.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience in utilities, energy, or large enterprise transformation programs preferred.
