Platform Engineer

• $700-800 inc super / day
• Candidates must be Aus citizen (eligible for ASGVA Baseline Security Clearance)

The Platform Engineer leverages expertise across various compute and storage technologies to support multi-cloud infrastructure. This role ensures system reliability while also implementing new services as part of an ongoing digital transformation.

What you’ll be doing?

• Working in this company’s Infrastructure Team to maintain and optimise this company’s cloud infrastructure
• In this role you will be responsible for maintaining storage & data protection infrastructure
• Following ITIL practices and maintaining the security and availability of this company’s cloud services
• Staying up-to-date with Microsoft Server Platforms
• Adhering to IT policy and enforcing processes within the wider technology team

What you’ll bring?

• 5+ years experience working in a Microsoft related platform system engineer role
• A strong background with hardware and software debugging and troubleshooting
• Hands-on deployment and operational experience with Microsoft products (M365, Teams, Exchange, Windows Server, Active Directory, Clustering and File Services),
• Excellent server administration skills with solid experience in automation and workflow improvement
• Competency in coding and/ or scripting
• Experience and knowledge with the likes of VMware, Windows, Dell, Pure storage Data domain and CISCO networking and security
• Nice to have any certifications relating to – Microsoft Azure, VMware, Cisco.
