Senior Cloud Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer who’s passionate about AWS and modern software engineering. In this hands-on role, you’ll design and develop cloud-native solutions using tools like Python and TypeScript, automate infrastructure at scale, and uplift engineering capabilities across the organisation.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build reusable tools and services that accelerate software delivery, improve reliability, and enhance developer experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Architect, build, and deploy scalable AWS-based platforms and services
• Develop tools and automation using Python, TypeScript or other modern languages
• Use infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation) to manage environments
• Partner with product and platform teams to embed cloud-native practices into delivery pipelines
• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and observability across cloud systems
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
• Stay across emerging tech and bring innovative thinking to platform development

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience as a software or cloud engineer, ideally using Python or TypeScript
• Expertise in designing and deploying solutions on AWS
• Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling
• Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) is highly regarded
• Knowledge of cloud networking, distributed systems and automation best practices
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
