Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Join a high-impact, forward-thinking team on a mission to raise the bar for cloud security across the business. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll play a central role in a specialist team of AWS security experts, designing and building scalable security capabilities that protect our cloud infrastructure and empower our development teams.

This is a hands-on engineering position that prioritizes coding, automation, and innovation. You’ll develop and maintain security tools, drive cloud-native security solutions, and act as a key advisor to product and platform teams-guiding them to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Beyond technical delivery, you’ll also help shape our strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and uplift DevSecOps capabilities across the broader cloud community.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Serve as a key liaison between Cloud, InfoSec, and Development teams.
• Lead secure design conversations and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop automation and tooling to enhance security visibility and enforcement across AWS environments.
• Collaborate with the Security team to understand the evolving threat landscape and address vulnerabilities.
• Guide development teams on secure architecture, coding practices, and cloud-native security solutions.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and continuously evaluate opportunities to improve our cloud security posture.
• Share knowledge, lead by example, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
• Influence best practices in automation, DevOps, and secure cloud engineering at scale.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong software engineering skills, ideally with experience in Python, Java, or other relevant languages.
• Deep expertise in AWS and the ability to independently design, build, and secure scalable cloud solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and core internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP).
• Hands-on experience or a strong interest in key security domains: Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, IAM, and Network Security.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring others and fostering a culture of security-minded development.
