Senior Cloud Engineer

The Company

Salt is excited to have teamed up with a leading Entertainment organisation based in Melbourne, who is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their high performing Cloud Team on an initial 12 month contract, starting ASAP.

Please note, this is a hybrid role based in Melbourne and that all applicants must have full working rights in Australia to apply for this position.

The Role

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll be joining our Entertainment clients Platform Team, where you will be working in an advanced AWS environment and will be responsible for building, maintaining, and monitoring the platform infrastructure, which is at the forefront of engineering excellence.

Key Skills and Competencies

The successful Senior Cloud Engineer should have the following skill set:

• Extensive experience working with AWS
• In depth experience with Infrastructure-as-Code
• Strong knowledge of various AWS services (CloudFormation, Lambda, Fargate, EC2, S3)
• Commercial experience with Monitoring tools (New Relic, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Security
• Proficient in writing scalable and testable code using Python or Java
• Experience in building APIs and RESTful Services
• Understanding of VPCs, Networking and Firewalls

The offer

• An attractive day rate of $800-1100 per day
• 12 month contract + extensions
• Hybrid working model
