We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Cyber Design & Control to lead the strategic design and governance of cybersecurity controls across our enterprise IT environment.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager – Cyber Design & Control, you will:

• Lead the design, assessment, and governance of secure IT solutions across university-wide technology initiatives.
• Act as the primary advisor on secure solution architecture to ensure regulatory, business and technical requirements are met.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team within the Cyber Design, Advisory and Strategy unit.
• Drive the development of cybersecurity policies, standards, principles, and architectural patterns.
• Oversee cyber risk assessments and define control effectiveness metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to embed security across platforms like Workday, Microsoft 365, and cloud infrastructure.
• Champion the integration of resilience and cybersecurity throughout project lifecycles.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Significant experience in cybersecurity architecture, secure design and technology risk management.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and grow a cybersecurity team.
• In-depth knowledge of secure design principles, enterprise IT platforms, and cyber resilience practices.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and influencing at senior levels.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in Information Security, Computer Science or related fields.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA, or CISM are highly regarded.
