Full Stack Developer (JAMStack, React, Node.JS) – Brussels

My client is looking for a Freelance Full Stack Developer to join the team who has experience developing primarily web based applications.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Leading web and collaboration domain: development of new apps and IT maintenance and evolutions of existing ones
• Technical lead for our public website and multiple mini websites and microsites; website maintenance with a focus on security bug resolution stemming from recurrent vulnerability scanning
• Linux server administration and DevOps for several web applications running on docker
• Gitlab Server administrator
• Performing business/functional analysis and support to project manager and vendors to build, develop or improve systems and applications
• Operational Support for Sharepoint 2013 users
• Management of our Azure subscriptions
• Support Energy Monitoring system applications for the office premises
• Preparing strategy for technological evolution of web and collaboration applications.

Profile

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• At least fiveyears’ experience with
  • developing primarily web-based applications
  • Familiarity with common stacks (NodeJS + Postgres + ReactJS + Redux)
  • Knowledge and experience of front-end frameworks and the JAMStack (e.g. React, Gatsby, Jekyll)
  • Ideally, familiarity with CSS pre-processors, bundlers, and associated languages/syntaxes/libraries
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. NodeJS, Python)
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Nginx) and UI/UX design
  • Server management and deployment for the relevant environment (e.g. Linux servers running docker containers)
• Proficiency with Git, using both Gitlab and Github
• Passion for delivering great user experiences
• A desire and an ability to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Business fluent in English mandatory (oral and written)
