My new client is looking for 4 contractors to join the team. Their main fields of specialisation are Platforms, Kubernetes and Cloud infrastructure with a Software Engineering approach. They also provide Engineering Transformation Leadership via a deep understanding of Continuous Delivery. They adopted and started using Kubernetes well before it was an industry standard at a pre-released version of 0.8. They were going against the grain at the time, but that allowed them to be part of its growth and to even contribute to its code base and internal strategy, through collaboration with Google, in its infancy.

All the consultants have a holistic approach to engineering. They value engineers that value a holistic approach to engineering. All consultants have experience that is well rounded as well as in-depth based on the solid grasp of core computing fundamentals.

as well as to gain client and consulting awareness.

Requirements:

They’re looking for engineers with battle-hardened real-world production experience, ideally with large cloud deployments.

• You have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• You have a very good understanding of the Software Delivery Lifecycle.
• You have a very good understanding of the Infrastructure Delivery Lifecycle.
• You are a firm believer in “Everything-as-Code”, Immutable Infrastructure and Automation.
• You are proficient in at least one programming language, e.g. Java, golang, Python (Must be able to code)
• You have deep knowledge of Cloud architecture and experience with at least one provider.
• You are familiar with the concepts of Containerization and Container Orchestration.
• You have a good grasp of the trade-offs in distributed systems
• Your communication skills are great. You can articulate a solution to a non-technical audience and you can express your disagreement constructively.
