Director of Delivery Management (Toronto based)

My client is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services with a focus on having a positive impact on their customers, employees and communities. They collaborate with multi-national teams, contribute to a myriad of innovative projects that deliver the most creative and cutting-edge solutions, and offer the opportunity to continuously learn and grow. They are looking for a Director of Delivery Management to join their team in Toronto.

The ideal candidate is technical at heart, with experience running large programs. Someone who is strategic, resilient, engaging with people, and a natural self-starter. Must have a passion for solving complex problems and have experience executing legacy modernization initiatives. Someone with a deep working knowledge of software development best practices.

Responsibilities

* Oversee the delivery of large-scale client initiatives/programs.
* Ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
* Coordinate project activities with the project team and stakeholders.
* Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders.
* Manage project risks and issues and escalate when necessary.
* Ensure project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.

Requirements

* Strong delivery management skills.
* Highly skilled in Java and Legacy Modernization.
* Strong understanding with Microsoft Azure.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Experience in software delivery.
* Hands on experience working as a Delivery/Team Lead, Solution/Enterprise Architect or Delivery/Project/Program Manager.
* Ability to work on site in Toronto, Canada.
