Director of Strategy & Business Analytics – News & Media Group

Our client is a leading news and media platform and is currently looking for a Director of Strategy & Data Analytics to join their team in HK.

The role:

You will initiate, plan, and execute projects for analyzing business and data to support the company’s objectives and strategies. The role also needs to collaborate with stakeholders from various departments and functions to ensure that the scope and recommendations of the analysis align with evolving needs. On top of that, you will present valuable insights and recommendations to senior management, guiding decision-making and shaping the direction of the company. You will also help to drive actionable change and implementation by promoting data democratization, using storytelling narratives, and enhancing data literacy across all levels of the organization. It would be important for this person to refine the company’s key performance indicators and metrics for weekly and monthly reporting, aligning them with cross-functional targets and goals. You will also conduct ad-hoc analyses on various reporting metrics such as CPA/CAC, LTV, and ROI. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Data team, including data analytics, data science, and data engineering, to shape and advance the tactical and strategic development of data infrastructure, reporting, and analytical applications.

The person:

*8+ years of hands-on business or data analytical experience with high data volume environments, preferably in media, telecom, financial services, software, or internet industry

* Excellence in verbal and written communications skills, presentation of complex business and data analyses, and storytelling

* Naturally curious and logical with strong analytical and problem solving skills

* Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
