Senior Data Scientist – Quantitative Finance

Salt’s client is looking for a number of Data Scientists at ranging seniority levels (ideally Senior) with strong Machine Learning and Quantitative finance backgrounds, to join this rapidly expanding Machine Learning based start up. This very well backed start up is quickly becoming a leader in its field, working on cutting edge projects within Quant and Algorithmic trading.

Responsibilities Include:

• Use the most appropriate machine learning technique to solve a problem.
• Create targeting stock based or systematic macro strategies, and trending strategies.
• Design and implement libraries of predictive features for a variety of machine learning tasks.
• Work with key stakeholders of the company to discuss business direction.
• Use statistical techniques to analyze model performance and make recommendations on how to limit errors.

Job Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics.
• Financial/Trading background highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working with Machine Learning.
• Experience building Deep Learning models.
• Strong Software Development skills in R/Python.
• Excellent written and spoken English language.
