Role overview:
Perform purchasing activities such as identifying, researching and evaluating vendors for quality and pricing, completing purchasing orders and documenting all purchasing decisions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluating vendors based on cost, specifications, quality and timelines to ensure beneficial contracts for the company
- Research the market appropriately to ensure that the company is getting the best possible value for each item purchased
- Building new relationships between the company and vendors, and ensure that these relationships are maintained to the satisfaction of all parties
- Evaluate the current procurement process and identify ways to eliminate wastefulness of resources
- Respond and provide solution to purchase requests from internal departments
- Train new and existing employees on the company’s procurement processes and policies
- Ensure company don’t run out of essential goods and services by analyzing company’s consumption and forecast its future needs
- Work effectively with several procurement information and ensure procurement activities stay on schedule
- Coordinate payment, delivery, scheduling and verify the completeness procedure in line of the invoicing procedure
- Document all the contracts and records of all deals and related correspondence with vendors
- Research the vendors to verify their credibility and ensure they perform in compliance with contractual obligations
- Advise senior managers on how a new contract or termination of existing contract will affect the company’s operations
- Attend trade shows, conferences and meetings to keep up to date with industry trends and network with new suppliers
Qualifications:
Education: Preferred Education (at least one of the below or similar)
- Bachelor In Supply Chain and Logistics Management
- Diploma in Procurement and Contracts Management
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing and related services
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with persons at all levels
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Middle East experience
