Our client in the Cyber Security technology industry requires the services of a Senior Cyber Architect on a 12-month contract in Abu Dhabi. You will be a distinguished lead security advisor consulting to various Enterprise clients on large security architecture projects.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Lead security related projects and sales pursuits
- Develop costed proposals
- Execute security architecture and maturity assessments for our clients using the best fit methodology to derive required outcomes
- Facilitate the gathering and analysis of required information to document business requirements and turn these requirements into secure technical solutions by evaluating business strategies and requirements, use of frameworks, information security standards, conducting system security, vulnerability analyses and risk assessments
- Assist in the execution of threat modelling exercises
- Collaborate with a wide range of domain architects and engineers to develop secure solutions to protect our client’s information ecosystem.
- Prepare high level designs, support domain engineers with low level design and implementation
- Perform quality assurance reviews on post-implementation of security solutions and architectures
- Support project managers, providing technical/security governance over projects
- Maintain an ecosystem of partners and vendors that support our security practice
- Maintain our services catalogue aligned to capability and market demand
- Lead and participate in innovation initiatives aimed at improving existing service offerings and develop new offerings as required
- Develop and nurture talent within the team
Technical Requirements:
- Experience performing security assessments with familiarity across popular security frameworks such as NIST, MITRE, COBIT, UAE-IA, PCI-DSS, CISA, etc.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards as well as security controls and technologies.
- Strong consulting and communication (both oral and written) skills and the ability to work in a team environment a must
- Fifteen years+ of progressive experience in consulting and design of ICT security solutions in complex or sensitive environments – government and defence industry experience preferred
- Azure cloud deep security knowledge
- Candidates from systems integrators, service providers and consultancies with presales and customer facing roles/experience a must
- Experience leading large cyber transformations
- Demonstrable experience leading large complex programs of work
Skills Required
Must be able to demonstrate experience with:
- Developing and leading a security consulting practice
- Leading and mentoring teams
- Developing secure architectures within any of the following environments: Government especially Defence and Law Enforcement, Utilities, Oil and Gas especially Operational Networks, Financial Services
- Using frameworks to identify gaps in existing security architectures and proposing remediation plans and prioritized roadmaps
- Intimate knowledge of the “kill chain” and solutions; people, process or technology at all levels to mitigate threats
Certification Requirements:
You’ll come from a security background, with excellent stakeholder management skills and certifications as per the following:
- Degree level qualification in a Computer Science or related field
- Microsoft Azure Security
- CISM/CISSP highly desirable
- TOGAF Foundation/SABSA desirable
- SANS Certifications desirable
- CPTE or CEH desirable
- CISA/CRISC desirable
