Role Overview:
The Senior IAM Architect will lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, with deep expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ. This senior role is accountable for setting the vision and defining the Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) strategy, ensuring it supports security, compliance, and business growth. The Senior Architect will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, guiding IAM transformation programs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure identity solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the IGA strategy – aligning identity governance with business, risk, and compliance objectives.
- Serve as the enterprise authority on IAM architecture, ensuring designs meet scalability, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Architect and oversee end-to-end SailPoint IdentityIQ implementations, including provisioning, certification, role modeling, and integration with HR, ERP, Cloud, and critical enterprise platforms.
- Provide strategic roadmaps for IAM and IGA initiatives, supporting digital transformation, Zero Trust, and cloud adoption.
- Partner with senior leadership, risk, and compliance teams to influence IAM-related policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Lead and mentor IAM engineering teams, setting technical direction and best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews, maturity assessments, and performance tuning for IAM platforms.
- Manage external vendors/partners to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with strategic objectives
Key Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in IAM architecture roles.
- Proven track record in SailPoint IdentityIQ architecture and delivery at enterprise scale.
- Expertise in IAM domains: user lifecycle management, RBAC, ABAC, SoD, privileged access, SSO, federation, and MFA.
- Experience defining and executing enterprise-level IGA strategies (policies, governance frameworks, automation, reporting).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, NIST, PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
- Deep understanding of cloud IAM and integration with Azure AD, AWS IAM, and GCP.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
