We partnered with a reputable Fortune 500 company specializing in insurance solutions in hiring for a capable Lead Business Analyst as part of their business growth within the Asia region.
Position Overview
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead a continuous cycle of engagement with our Asia businesses and internal functions, fostering collaborative efforts to identify, map, and prioritize risks and opportunities for improvement to system and process. Your primary objective will be to lead, define and validate the business problems for handover to Systems, PMO and Business Architecture teams so that design of tools and resolution of updated processes resolve the business problem and contribute to improved quality and efficiency. This will be an individual contributor position.
Responsibilities
Collaborative Problem and Opportunity Identification:
Engage proactively with offices and functions in the Asia region and globally to identify business problems and opportunities from BAU operations, ARMC recommendations, audits, ERM, risk incidents, and other pertinent sources.
Collaborate across teams to assess and prioritize issues for resolution.
Process Enhancement and Business Architecture:
Collaborate with business architecture teams to evaluate, re-engineer, and improve processes in conjunction with in-scope functions and businesses.
Identify process requirements and enhancements to streamline operations and achieve strategic objectives.
Initiative Prioritization and Shaping:
Partner with the Solutions Team and IT team to convert identified opportunities into well-defined initiatives, small business changes, pilots, proof-of-concepts (POCs), or projects.
Contribute insights to shape initiatives that align with organizational goals.
Relationship Building and Communication:
Maintain consistent communication and build robust relationships with businesses and functions across Asia and globally.
Understand their needs, challenges, and goals to drive effective collaboration and problem-solving.
Process Design and Resolution Leadership:
Lead the design and resolution of updated processes, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions to address identified issues and enhance efficiency.
Business Problem Definition:
Articulate and define complex business problems, capturing all relevant aspects and implications. Provide comprehensive documentation for handover to Solutions Delivery, PMO, and Business Architecture teams.
Serve as Lead Liaison:
Between Asia Admin, Functional Teams and IT to identify and validate business problems and elaborate business requirements as needed for infrastructure and system enhancement and implementations
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum 8 years relevant experience with the recent 5+ years in project related experience such as business analysis, project management, etc
Proven experience in relationship management, business analysis, process improvement, and project management within a corporate environment.
Proficiency in business process modeling, analysis tools, and methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with a knack for identifying root causes, assessing opportunities, and driving effective solutions.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, adept at bridging communication gaps between technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
Ability to influence and work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Ability to set individual and team goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously
Ability to travel within region as required
Technical Requirements
Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence or equivalent.
SQL or similar querying languages for querying databases
