Financial Data Analyst

We are excited to support a brand new client to Salt – a HUGE global tech giant as they seek to hire a Financial Data Analyst to join their team on an ASAP starting, 4-5 month contract.

With strong business insight, a solid quantitative/technical background, and ability to adapt communication styles to the relevant internal parties you will oversee responsibility for the annual financial business planning and forecasting and will work with cross-functional teams to achieve the division’s financial objectives.

Key Role Requirements:

• You will manage the full lifecycle of data science projects, from identifying business needs to delivering solutions that meet those needs
• Effectively explore new data science tools and their applications in business
• Ability to translate complex technical content for non-technical audiences and vice versa
• Develop and maintain data pipelines

Key Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience as a data scientist, data engineer, data analyst, or similar
• Experience with Python (Pandas, scikit-learn, and statsmodels)
• Proficiency in SQL and other query languages
• ESSENTIAL – Previous experience with Dataiku
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning theory
• Proven experience applying data science/machine learning techniques to solve real business problems
• Experienced with machine learning techniques for time series forecasting
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of data science projects, from identifying business needs to delivering
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
