Financial Analyst

While many of their competitors have moved their manufacturing offshore, our client has increased the size and capacity of their local Australian and New Zealand factories. YOUR ROLE

This is a crucial role in the business supporting the CFO by supplying information to assist management in its decision-making processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Providing BI and insights to the CFO and wider business

· Partnering with departments to provide commercial insights and analysis

· Developing sales and pricing insights and analysis including trend reporting and customer/product margin analysis

· Developing reports and insights for the wider accounting team

· Sourcing and presenting internal performance data to highlight and allow realisation of improvement opportunities

· Participating in major business improvement initiatives and growth opportunities.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are seeking a degree qualified Accountant who has solid financial capability along with commercial awareness. However, the key to your success is your ability to build credible relationships with key stakeholders within the broader finance team and business. You will also have

· Strong analytical and data gathering skills

· High degree of computer literacy. In particular experience in scenario modelling using Excel, Power BI and business planning skills. Exposure to ERP systems is desirable

· Experience operating in a standard costing and manufacturing environment

· Ability to understand general business practices to make sound commercial decisions based on facts assumptions and implications

· Ability to source competitor, supplier, and marketplace information to interpret and/or predict market developments
