Our client is New Zealand’s largest clinical trials unit based at Middlemore Hospital and now expanding to Te Tai Tokerau – Whangārei Hospital. They will partner with hospital departments in Te Tai Tokerau to perform clinical trials focusing on the diseases and long-term health conditions that affect our diverse community.
The role
You will support the Business Development and Operations Teams to set up Aotearoa Clinical Trials – Te Tai Tokerau. Once established you will be responsible for the day to day running of clinical trials across the region.
Each day will be different. At the outset you will support business development by networking and raising the profile of research to clinical teams and the community. You will be responsible for setting up clinic and office space and familiarising yourself with policies, processes, procedures, and trial protocols. Once research is up and running you will work alongside Research Nurses to organise and deliver clinical trials. Good project management and excellent communication skills are essential as are high levels of accuracy, resilience, a problem solving attitude and the ability to multitask.
Training will be provided and initially you will be required to visit Auckland for at least a week for training.
About you
Can work independently
Attained a PhD or MSc in Biomedical Science
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, or physiology
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
High energy and resilience
Excellent IT skills
Sound project management skills
A problem solver
