Study Start up Specialist

Our client is a network of hospital based clinical trial sites with over 20 year’s experience in clinical trials in Aotearoa – New Zealand. They test the efficacy and safety of the most innovative medicines, devices, and approaches to advance the standard of healthcare across New Zealand. They are seeking a Study Start Up Specialist to be based at their Middlemore Hospital site.

The role

This position is integral to business development and developing relationships with departments and investigators, as well as working closely with the operations team to set up new clinical trials in the commercial clinical trial portfolio. This involves all start-up tasks including: budgets, contracts, regulatory, third party contracts, trial specific set-up and recruitment planning. The post holder will also be key to supporting the management team with trial reporting and analysis, feasibility tracking and implementation of the Business Development plan.

Attained a Science Masters Degree

Knowledge of medical terminology

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

High energy

Solutions focused and resilient

Sound project management skills

Practical and have initiative
