The Group Manager NZ is a brand-new role within a privately owned multi-site business, with growth coming both organically and via acquisition.

The successful applicant would manage the managers of various entertainment venues and retail stores in Wellington, Auckland and Dunedin making sure all the centre managers have everything they need.

Day-to-day duties involve visiting each store every couple of months and staying long enough to explore the running of each site. You will identify where improvements can be made and provide support and guidance to Centre Managers to continue growth.

Responsibilities of the role includes:

  • Objective setting and ensuring goals are achieved
  • Staff Management & development
  • General management
  • Reporting, Financials and Payroll oversight
  • Analysing CRM data to understand the performance and environmental factors influencing
  • Seeking opportunities for improvements or business gains
  • Keeping a working knowledge of how each centre operates

There is no weekend work expected, however you would be available by phone in the event of emergencies.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Leadership in the entertainment, retail or hospitality sector
  • Proven multi-site leadership experience or exceptional single site performance
  • General Management experience
  • Strong people leadership
  • Management of accounts and P&L’s
  • Having led confident, high performing teams
  • Flexibility to travel regularly for up to five days at a time
