Automation engineer

· The role:

· Design and implement automation solutions on highly customised, complex, and automated production lines, delivering engineering excellence and a high level of customer satisfaction.

· Designing and implementing control systems for complex production machinery in accordance with applicable standards

· PLC, HMI, and Motion Control programming

· Machine Vision integration and programming

· Robotics integration and programming

· Ethernet network infrastructure design and configuration

· Commissioning and installation of machinery

· Identifying complex problems and developing solutions

· The ideal candidate:

· IMPORTANT:

· You have good automation experience in control systems development and commissioning of special purpose and complex automated production lines from design through development and commissioning. (Important)

· Candidates from manufacturing organisations preferred compared to process based organisations. (Important)

· PREFERRED:

· Experience using Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, and/or Omron automation platforms

· Knowledge of Autocad or eplan

· Experience in robotics (including robot selection, flight path simulation, robot gripper or attachment design, integration and programming, set-up and commissioning, and on-site referencing and commissioning) (advantage)

· Willingness to travel across the globe to customer sites as per requirement (less frequent)
