The role
- Responsible for being part of a talented DevOps Team and assuming a senior role in terms of thought leadership
- Communicate with internal and external teams & with customers to optimize the use of technology
- Explore new developments and ways of delivering software- stay on top of your DevOps game
- Work in an AWS environment.
- Build automated & scalable infrastructure and work closely with the developers- use Python, shell and Go hands-on
- Work on the continuous improvement of development pipelines .
- Be on-call on roster- this will allow a healthy work life balance
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent experience in DevOps, including containerization tools such as Docker & Kubernetes.
- Good experience in software deployment.
- Hands on commercial experience in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, Bash/ Ash and/or Go.
- We are looking for a resilient, dynamic, down-to-earth, curious person who loves to solve problems using technology
- Strong understanding of Linux and IAC would be ideal
- Experience on Terraform or CloudFormation is ideal
- Additional experience in the following environment is a plus: NodeJS, TypeScript, React Native, Redis, PostGres
You must be in New Zealand at the moment, with the right to work here to be considered for this role.
