Technical Lead

Excellent permanent career opportunity for a technical lead/ principal developer/ hands-on architect , with experience in development in several languages, cloud, DevOps and modern data architecture. We are looking for a true polyglot with experience in modern versions of languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python.

The role:

• Hands-on full stack development is an essential part of this role
• Design and architecture is an important part of this role

• Based in central Auckland

The ideal candidate

• Will be an experienced and passionate full stack software engineer, with technical leadership experience
• Strong commercial cloud experience is essential, with AWS, Azure or GCP, Certifications are ideal but not essential. Serverless experience is an advantage.
• Experience with design and architecture
• Will have a strong business understanding and the ability to communicate with internal and external teams
• Agile experience will be a huge plus
• Polyglot with experience on as many of the following as possible- Java, modern JavaScript such as React, Node, Python
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL and in creating modern data pipelines
• DevOps experience, ideally Docker & Kubernetes
• Experience in an agile environment
• Loves to stay hands on on development, but like to provide direction on the technical side.
• Innately curious, always exploring ways of improving the ways in which software is developed and deployed
