Backend Tech Lead (contract-to-hire)

– Translating requirements into well designed and architected software services.

– Integrating APIs and databases with UI components

– Gathering and refining specifications and requirements based on technical requirements

– Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations

– Maintaining and automating unit test coverage at 80% or greater.

– Writing high-quality, scalable, and reusable code using NodeJS

– Writing backward compatible API’s that are highly flexible for other services to consume.

– Brainstorming solutions to complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problems

– Investigating and resolving technical issues

– Performing root cause analysis for production errors

– Writing functional tests

– Staying plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– NodeJS

– Expert knowledge of databases and SQL

– 8-10 years Experience as a Full Stack or Back End Developer

– Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows

– Proficiency with the AWS platform

– Experience writing unit tests

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

– Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or similar experience

– Postgres

– Experience writing Functional Tests
