We are looking for an exceptional Python Developer who is able to help with the assistance of a very important project.

The Bathymetric Grid application offers a WMS for bathymetric data in combination with history management.

A user can access this WMS from another GIS application and then quickly and easily request and view bathymetric data, both the most recent and historical data. In addition, the system offers automated processing to add new data to the database (via Python scripts).

This application currently runs on a data center (VPC) and needs to move to the Azure cloud.

We are looking for a driven person to prepare and carry out this move.

  • Use of Docker containers for migration to Azure
  • Python
  • PostgreSQL and PostGIS
  • GDAL
  • GeoServer
  • Tomcat
  • Migration of the current application to Azure
  • Documentation
