Account Manager – Creative Agency

Job Description

Salt is collaborating with an independent creative agency that excels in crafting targeted strategies to connect brands with consumers.

To support one of their largest clients, they are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join the team. Based in the inner suburbs, this role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering design and branding projects for this renowned fashion brand.

Key Tasks Overview:

  • Briefs: Receive and respond to client briefs, craft internal creative briefs led by the Creative Director (CD), and develop timing plans.
  • Project Trafficking: Track and communicate project statuses, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Production: Understand the creative process and photographic production.
  • Process Management: Efficiently manage processes within the creative team, optimizing resources for top-notch results.
  • Meetings and Reviews: Conduct project WIP meetings (internal and client), creative reviews, and production updates.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders as needed and operate client approval systems for smooth project delivery.
  • Budget Management: Handle invoicing, client estimates, client forecasting, supplier estimates, and resource allocation to budget.
  • Multi-tasking: Manage multiple briefs simultaneously, including photoshoots, branding projects, and design tasks.

Candidate Profile:

  • Excellent listening and communication skills to navigate complex tasks and engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • A professional, positive, and proactive attitude, with a drive to take ownership and propel projects forward.
  • Self-managing and savvy, with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Confident yet approachable, capable of fostering trust and rapport with clients.
  • Enthusiastic about expanding category knowledge and offering consultative support as needed.
  • Adaptive, able to prioritize, and adept at multitasking in a composed manner.
  • Comfortable working within established process frameworks and collaborating within a team environment.

Ideal Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of account management experience within a campaign or branding agency.
  • Experienced in client planning, proposal writing, brief writing, operational project management, and presentation skills.
  • Fashion and retail experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and timelines.
  • Skilled in budget management and forecasting.
  • An understanding of the photographic production process.

As this role is working on 1 major client this will offer you autonomy, control and ability to lead collaboratively.
