Salt has partnered with Western Australia’s Largest Independent Integrated agency and Our client is looking for a new Digital Director. In this role you will be Working directly with the Digital General Manager your focus is on the day-to-day operations and future wellbeing of the Digital Department – ensuring productivity and profitability are top of mind.
You will be the driving force behind the team, identifying and encouraging best practice and promoting a culture of innovation and creativity. In addition to overseeing, this role is equally about doing. Two key parts are client service and project management – building trust, growing relationships, excellent communication skills, expert multi-tasking, hands on project management, strategic thinker with a strong business acumen – wrapped up in a solution focused approach.
This is a Hybrid Role based in Perth, Western Australia.
Responsibilities Commercial
Formulate business plans and regularly review and re-evaluate the agency’s performance against agreed goals and KPIs
Drive the commercial strategy and pricing for the department
Track and ensure delivery of budgeted billings and income
Prepare reports and forecasts for the Digital GM and Board as required
Support the Digital GM in management of all required financials, department management, and ongoing improvement
Team
Lead and motivate your people to understand and ‘live’ company values and deliver commercial goals and ambition
Nurture and develop your direct reports in relation to their performance, skills, and career development
Communicate performance expectations and actively participate in the performance review process (Grow Perform Succeed)
Day to Day
Direct and manage a profitable portfolio of digital projects including websites, digital strategy, user experience, and specialist digital projects
Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to our clients offering digital expertise and providing versatile digital strategy and planning for small, medium, and large website projects (e.g., landing pages through to complex and eCommerce websites)
Meticulously balance project management with exceptional account service including effectively preparing for and managing client meetings and presentations
Lead and execute day to day project delivery across multiple concurrent projects – including excellent client service, project planning, strategic problem solving, an appreciation of brand/creative, liaison with internal teams/specialist partners leading to high quality outcomes for our clients
Ensure services are delivered according to defined scope and timeline
Produce regular reports with an analytical approach, providing valuable insights and strategic recommendations
Growth & New Business
Develop and execute a client lead growth strategy based on market considerations and a clearly defined service offering
Keep a keen eye on your clients’ commercial value to the agency, forecasting revenue on a monthly and yearly basis and up- or cross-selling relevant services and channels whenever the opportunity arises
Prepare and present polished client-facing presentations, and deliver them clearly and compellingly
Technology & Industry
Proactively stay on top of industry trends, technology, events, and networking and communicate back to the team and wider agency to inspire, motivate, and upskill colleagues
Maintain a thorough understanding of your clients’ sectors and market trends
Develop processes and systems to improve our offering and ensure ongoing industry leading solutions
Identify emerging industry and product trends early on and transform them into winning propositions for the agency
