Cyber Security Operations Lead

Position Overview:

As an essential member of the Cybersecurity team, the Cybersecurity Operations Team Lead is responsible for managing the identification and resolution of global cyber threats that could impact the availability and integrity of our services.

With deep expertise in cybersecurity technologies and a solid background in cyber operations, this role provides strategic advice and support across both business-as-usual (BaU) operations and key technology projects.

In this role, you will configure and manage security tools to assess, monitor, and report on the organization’s information security posture, ensuring timely analysis and resolution of cyber incidents. As a cybersecurity subject matter expert, you will deliver thought leadership, collaborate closely with other operational teams, and offer guidance to manage the constantly evolving cybersecurity threat landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the global operations of technologies supporting the Cybersecurity function.
• Serve as the team lead for a small Security Operations Center (SOC) team.
• Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Operations Manager to oversee SOC activities and firewall device management, ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational metrics.
• Perform root cause analysis for cybersecurity incidents and implement control improvements.
• Provide strategic guidance to operational teams for configuring information security controls.
• Lead the development and maintenance of security standards for operating environments, working with relevant teams.
• Play a key role in the design and implementation of practical and effective cybersecurity defenses.
• Oversee the active monitoring of cybersecurity threats and provide periodic technical compliance reports.
• Partner with the SOC and CISO Office to drive continuous improvement and innovation, offering expert advice on cybersecurity best practices, automation, and emerging trends.
• Innovate in the areas of security technology, operations, analytics, and visualizations.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Extensive experience in large-scale IT Security Operations.
• Expertise in cybersecurity technologies, particularly:
• Firewalls (Palo Alto)
• Threat Intelligence
• Attack Surface Management
• Intrusion Detection & Prevention
• Vulnerability Management
• SIEM
• Email Gateway/Security Awareness
• Privileged Access Management
• SASE (Secure Access Service Edge)
• Solid understanding of Data Center and Cloud security platforms and controls.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current threats in the cybersecurity landscape.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality services.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with significant experience in stakeholder management.
