• Long Term Day-Rate Contract Role. Initial 12 month day rate contract with high likelihood of extensions
• Offering: $850-980 including super per day
• Location: Work Remotely from anywhere in Australia

***Please Note: To be considered for this role, you must have had BOTH Product Management experience and VFX experience.

It’s totally fine if your product management experience and your VFX experience come from different roles and don’t overlap. For example, you may have been working previously in the VFX space and then later transitioned into product management***

What you’ll be doing?

• In this role, you’ll be product managing a sophisticated VFX Bidding System
• At first, you’ll be gaining a deep understanding of how the bidding system works so you can become the system expert and then educate various users and stakeholders around this system
• Working closely with your immediate team which focuses on this VFX Bidding System. This includes; the Team Leader / Product Owner (the leader of this team who you’ll also report into), two Developers, and a Scrum Master.
• Servicing users of the VFX Bidding System. This System is used by bidding producers as well as production finance team members
• Conducting user interviews to better understand their requirements and working with the Team Leader / Product Owner to prioritise these needs
• Managing the development roadmap and communicating with key business stakeholders
• Working with the Scrum Master to create and foster an efficient development environment where user requirements are translated into tickets and development work is scheduled and tracked
• Managing the project schedule with the Scrum Master and the developers
• Partnering closely with the Team Leader / Product Owner in mapping out the future direction of the system and planning for new systems both from a functional and architectural perspective
• Being a point of contact for new feature requests, bug notifications and other queries
• Creating and maintaining documentation for the system
• Putting together training materials and conducting user training for the system

What you’ll bring?

• Proven product management experience and VFX experience (experience in the fields of animation and video gaming will also be considered)
• Great communication skills and the ability to take multiple stakeholders on the journey of product/system optimisation
• An understanding of how financing works in the VFX Bidding Process (nice to have)
• Strong experience in the areas of product managing an existing product as well as playing a role in architecting new product ideas
• Experience working with a Scrum Master and a small team of developers
• Experience in training users of a system
• Experience with user stories
• Experience with documenting the workings of a system
