Senior Data Practitioner

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise-wide data solutions. This role will focus on building robust data pipelines, integrations, and transformation models to support both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, problem-solving skills, and business acumen to drive high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data solutions using Snowflake, Fivetran, and DBT Cloud.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into Snowflake.
• Develop modular and reusable transformation models in DBT Cloud to maintain a structured data warehouse.
• Implement advanced SQL solutions for data aggregation, transformation, and analysis within Snowflake.
• Ensure data quality and reliability through validation techniques and proactive pipeline monitoring.
• Apply best practices in data warehousing, including dimensional and relational modelling.
• Contribute to the Data & Analytics roadmap, adopting new capabilities and optimizing existing systems.

Technical Expertise

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including:
  • Data modelling, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Writing and optimizing SQL for large-scale datasets.
  • Leveraging Snowflake-specific features like Time Travel, Cloning, and Zero-Copy Cloning.
• Expertise in Fivetran for data ingestion and management:
  • Connecting diverse source systems to Snowflake.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting pipeline issues.
• Proficiency in DBT Cloud for data transformation:
  • Building modular DBT models using Jinja templating.
  • Implementing hooks, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Managing projects with version control.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and best practices.
