About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our Cloud Enablement team during the early stages of our AWS Cloud Uplift Project. This role is critical to driving best practice cloud security, replacing legacy home-grown solutions, and leveraging the latest AWS capabilities.

You will work closely with Cloud and Product Security Engineers, Cloud Architects, and the Cloud Enablement team to design and implement robust cloud security controls that support the FY26 roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement complementary AWS cloud security controls in collaboration with security and cloud teams.
• Drive security best practices within a fast-paced, agile project environment.
• Document solutions, controls, and processes to a high standard.
• Quickly build relationships with stakeholders to influence secure cloud adoption.
• Support the uplift of our AWS environment, taking advantage of new AWS capabilities and services.

Key Skills and Experience required:

• Advanced knowledge of AWS security services, including:
• Control Tower, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, IAM, SCP/RCP, Security Hub, KMS, and VPC Networking.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

• 6-month contract with potential extensions
• Hybrid working: 2-3 days in the office
• Locations: Melbourne.
