The Company
Salt is excited to have partnered with a leading Financial Services organisations based in Melbourne, who is currently seeking a Senior Splunk Engineer to join one of their SRE teams on a permanent basis.
The Role
As a Senior Splunk Engineer you will:
- Be joining one of our client’s high performance teams
- Help with the development of their Monitoring (Splunk) Platform for one of Australia’s biggest Splunk users, which is used by over 300 teams
- Design and implement solutions for new and existing Monitoring systems
- Create dashboards and provide real time monitoring to customers
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident support
- Deploy and configure Splunk add-ons
- Mentor junior engineers within the team
Key Skills and Competencies:
The successful Senior Splunk Engineer should have the following skill set:
- Extensive experience working with Splunk, including administration, development and architecture
- Strong knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Enterprise Security and ITSI
- Commercial experience in Splunk Query Language (SPL)
- Hands-on experience in integrating Splunk add-ons
- Proficient CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins)
- Understanding of various scripting languages (Python, Shell)
- Experience working with Linux OS
- Australian citizen or Permanent Resident
