· Fortune 500 cloud based blue chip organization

· 12 months contract opportunity- with a high potential to go permanent

· Offering: $450/day including super

· Location: Sydney CBD- hybrid work arrangements – 2 days from office

About the role:

The Support Engineer is part of a global organization entrusted as a technical resource to guide our customers during critical issues to ensure a timely and effective case resolution. In support engineering, the customer and their positive experience is paramount and central to our daily efforts. Platform support engineering is integral to the success of our customers.

In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has 4+ years in :

• A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL, or CMDB
• Ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues with ease and complexity
• Ability to read basic Java/JavaScript code
• Ability to explain solutions to complex technical problems
• Personal commitment to quality and customer service
• Advanced Postgres knowledge and hands on experience (Oracle/Mysql is optional)
• Understanding of remote administration via SSH, SNMP, WMI, Powershell.
• Excellent communication to answer customer questions and resolve issues through various technologies including web, chat, email, case updates, as well as direct telephone support.
