Salt is currently working with a highly innovative VR immersive experiences studio based in the heart of Sydney. They craft cutting-edge virtual reality applications that transport users to new worlds, tell compelling stories, and provide impactful training and educational solutions. Due to huge demand and customer growth, they are looking for a talented Unity/C# Developer to join the team.

The Role

You’ll be at the forefront of developing high-quality, interactive VR experiences. You’ll work closely with design and art teams to bring creative visions to life, tackle exciting technical challenges and push the boundaries of VR.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, implement, and iterate on VR interactions and gameplay mechanics using Unity and C#.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and other developers to create seamless and engaging user experiences.
• Optimise applications for performance on various VR hardware platforms.
• Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and support.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest VR technologies, trends, and best practices. 💡

About You

You’re a skilled Unity/C# developer with a genuine passion for virtual reality and a desire to create immersive experiences. You thrive in a collaborative environment and aren’t afraid to tackle complex problems.

We’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Unity Developer with strong C# programming skills.
• Demonstrable experience in developing VR applications
• Solid understanding of VR principles, interaction design, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with common VR SDKs (e.g., Meta Quest SDK, SteamVR, OpenXR).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with 3D modelling, animation, or UI/UX design.
• Knowledge of networking and multiplayer VR development.
• Familiarity with other game engines or development tools.
• A degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
