Business System Analyst

Reporting to the Director, Digital Product Management, this position will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring the effective utilization of systems and processes. You will be responsible for managing the company’s core systems/applications, as well as training, performing integrations, configuring the system for any new or updated business initiative, testing updates, vendor management, and help design innovative solutions to enhance operation efficiency. You will work in a fast-paced ever-changing professional and operational environment while maintaining corporate policies and providing excellent support to the business. There will be occasional travel to other locations in support of projects and training requirements where necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

* Work closely with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
* Check for potential security issues associated with the applications.
* Create detailed documentation including system specifications, process flows, and user guides.
* Conduct user training.
* Developing, administering, and responding to an effective system of feedback on the performance of the applications and its reports.
* Checking of data and software content prior to load and release for operational use.
* Develop and establish procedures in a Policy and Procedures Manual.
* Analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide insights and support decision-making.
* Responsible for overseeing audits and quality checks of systems.
* Perform internal UAT testing by developing and executing test plans to ensure the integrity and functionality of implemented solutions.
* Review processes and procedures regularly to ensure continuous improvements to meet the changing needs of the effected departments.
* Responsible for developing and delivery of effective and efficient API’s.
* Other duties as assigned from time to time.
* Support the SMS program through participation and reporting.

Requirements & Skills:

* A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
* Proven experience as a Business System Analyst or similar role.
* Ability to quickly troubleshoot a variety of technical problems associated with computer hardware, peripheral equipment, associated operating systems and software.
* Experience in providing application support to end users is a bonus.
* Good communication and documentation skills.
* Maintain a high level of operational and technical knowledge necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
* Experience in product and/or project management and change management is preferred.
* Clear criminal record check and satisfactory employment references.
* Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, be fluent in spoken/written English and hold and maintain a valid passport that allows for travel across Canada.
