Head of Risk Management

My client are a leading bank in the Middle East. They are looking for an outstanding Head of Risk Management to join their Dubai business.

Job description

Provides leadership around risk management including; establishes and rolls out local frameworks, policies and operating guidelines within the parameters set out in Enterprise Risk Management framework and policies and works with management to implement processes to ensure compliance with the frameworks, policies, operating guidelines and local regulatory requirement
Provides independent oversight and challenge over management to ensure that management has implemented effective risk management processes. Ensure that risk based measurement and reporting metrics, including risk limits and exception reporting is established.
Provides strategic risk challenge to management on business strategy and key business initiatives. Identifies key business risks and works with the business to ensure risks are appropriately assessed and monitored, mitigation strategies are developed and implemented in a timely manner.
Communicating and providing education on risk management measures and risk / return analysis tools to business areas. Promotes risk management cultures within the company
Provide hands on leadership for various risk related projects
