As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue performance across a diverse portfolio of exhibitions and conferences, including the launch of a new technology-focused series. Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial function across exhibitions and conferences, ensuring delivery of sales and revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sponsorship, exhibition, and non-space revenue strategies.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to the sales team.
- Research market trends and competitor activity to introduce new sales innovations.
- Oversee floor plan management, budget control, and CRM programmes to drive client engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and key partners.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure seamless delivery and visitor promotion.
- Implement governance processes, reporting, and commercial best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-8 years’ senior sales experience within the exhibitions industry.
- Proven track record of driving commercial performance across large-scale events.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management and revenue forecasting.
- Innovative, adaptable, and commercially strategic with a customer-first mindset.
