RVM Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

This role will manage the operations of one of the organisation’s key functions, which involves possessing technical knowledge, inventory management skills and International logistics know-how. This role would also support the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. The RVM Operations Manager will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, implementing best practices, ensuring seamless operations, and executing
liquidation processes with external vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Process Optimization: Enhance internal processes for improved efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

● Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical aspects of the grading process, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

● Inventory Management: Ensure the efficient and organized receipt of devices into the inventory. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and minimize losses.

● Grading: Oversee grading processes and implement improvements. Collaborate with relevant teams to establish grading criteria and monitor performance.

● International Logistics: Manage international logistics operations and compliance. Cultivate relationships with shipping and customs partners. Ensure timely and cost-effective product shipping.

● Liquidation Execution: Develop and execute strategies for stock liquidation. Collaborate with vendors to optimize the liquidation process.

● Value Optimization: Develop strategies to maximize the value extracted from old devices through vendor management and execution strategies.

● Team Management: Lead and manage a team of professionals. Provide coaching and development opportunities.

● Documentation and Reporting: Generate reports on team performance, productivity, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.

● Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies in managing inventory. Stay informed about industry best practices for logistics and liquidation.

● Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the liquidation, inventory and logistics teams, to ensure seamless quick liquidation turnaround. Facilitate communication and coordination to enhance overall efficiency.

● Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the RVM operational process. Implement changes and optimizations to enhance overall effectiveness.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

● 5-10 years of experience in technical grading & grading software (consumer electronics)

● Understanding of inventory management, logistics, international trade, and liquidation processes

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Excellent leadership and team management abilities

● Effective communication and interpersonal skills

● Knowledge of Google Suite and an aptitude for learning new applications

● Experience in creating and implementing processes
