Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Salt is representing a well-renowned American Cyber Security Services client who has opened up offices in Abu Dhabi and they are currently looking for a senior security engineer with in-depth knowledge of different security tools installation and configuration, SIEM tools, and network security experience. The ideal candidate would serve as an advanced escalation point for identifying and addressing potential information security incidents. This role is also responsible for supporting architecture changes, tool deployments, and management. You will be customer-facing and working with the sales team on presentations and security architecture, gathering customer requirements, and working with RFP including preparing responses.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of ProofPoint, WAF, Palo Alto Networks, DLP, CASB, EDR/XDR, Application security, Database security, and Firewall security principles.
• Applied knowledge in at least one scripting or development language (Python, Power Shell)
• Thorough understanding of enterprise security in Active Directory / Windows environments, Linux and Unix.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture and security tools on-premises and cloud.
• Strong understanding of security tools, cloud technologies, and systems, as well as on-premise systems and networking is paramount.
• Review and critique system security plans, network diagrams, and other security documentation as part of vulnerability engagements
• Be the central POC for all escalations
• Manage and provide knowledge transfer to Junior Cyber Security Engineers down the line
• At least one Cyber Security certification held or in the process (i.e. CISSP, GCIH, OSCP, GCFE)

Qualification Criteria:

• Be a security technical advisor to customers, review requirements, and provide consulting, security solutions, configuration on security implementations, Office 365 Security, and Endpoint Security, email security, CASB, and Cloud Security.
• Proficiency in Python, and/or Power Shell.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
• Install and configure security tools (SIEM is a big plus).
• Architect new solutions to customers based on their risk level and tolerance.
• Present findings and solutions, demo solutions and interact professionally with customers
• A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
• 10+ years of work experience with security tools installation and implementation, incident detection, incident response, and forensics.
