Azure Data Engineer

I am working with a leading tech company in the UAE who are looking to add a Data Engineer to their team to work on a fully remote basis.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data availability.
• Collect and process large volumes of data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
• Implement data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support data analytics and reporting.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate on data governance and security measures to protect sensitive data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data integration tools.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (Microsoft Azure)
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience with data governance and compliance is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Data Engineer) are a plus.
