We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Delivery Manager to join my client and play a key role in driving the successful delivery of critical technology initiatives within a defined operational sub-domain. This role is an excellent opportunity for an Emirati to lead impactful projects that directly contribute to the UAE’s innovation and operational excellence.
Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology programmes, from supplier sourcing and onboarding to implementation and business value realisation. You will manage projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring solutions are sustainable, safe, and aligned with enterprise and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of assigned projects and programmes, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes.
- Manage supplier sourcing, contracting, and delivery of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, risk logs, and dependency maps in line with business objectives.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and solution definition, balancing safety, compliance, and innovation.
- Establish stakeholder engagement plans and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and steering committees.
- Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to manage scope and change control.
- Track and report project benefits, embedding lessons learned into future initiatives.
- Act as a delivery coach in mixed Agile/Waterfall environments, ensuring teams operate effectively.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across suppliers and internal teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven track record in delivering projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or Scrum Master (CSM) are preferred.
- Strong supplier/vendor management experience, particularly in third-party technology solution delivery.
- Airline or airport operations experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with safety-critical operational technology is an advantage.
- Skilled in Microsoft Project, JIRA, or equivalent PPM and Agile tools.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
