Murex Consultant – Treasury & Capital Markets

I’m recruiting for a Murex Consultant to join my client, a Big 4, and play a key role in delivering impactful treasury and capital markets transformation projects. This role requires deep technical expertise in Murex MX.3, combined with strong consulting, stakeholder management, and financial product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or support the delivery of Murex MX.3 solutions for clients in the financial services sector.
• Act as a subject matter expert across a wide range of treasury products including Derivatives, Fixed Income, Structured Deposits, and more.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on in-depth system and market knowledge.
• Navigate complex discussions with a sound, practical approach to issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and to high quality standards.

Key Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience with Murex MX.3 in a treasury or trading environment.
• Project management and consulting experience within financial services.
• Strong understanding of banking and financial markets, either from direct industry experience or via consulting engagements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to influence, challenge, and build trust with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emerging issues.
• Ability to manage and navigate high-level conversations with senior executives and decision-makers.
