Principal Software Engineer

Our top Agritech client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and optimizing their infrastructure while demonstrating proficiency in a range of technologies. This position requires a strategic thinker who can test hypotheses, implement infrastructure changes, and navigate modern technology stacks.

Responsibilities:

• Test hypotheses and implement infrastructure changes with a deep understanding of system functionality.
• Stay agile with emerging technologies, adapting and incorporating them into our systems.
• Configure servers and APIs, and proficiently work with infrastructure, cloud services, orchestration, containers, and modern stack technologies, especially data and Python.
• Demonstrate expertise in frontend and middleware technologies such as Node.js and MQTT.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks within the team, focusing on technical debt that impacts infrastructure performance.
• Understand and work with data, SQL code, and transformations.
• Possess a few areas of deep technical expertise to contribute valuable insights.
• Implement algorithms using a variety of technologies.
• Engage in infrastructure code development and deployment, with a solid understanding of DevOps practices.
• Consider the data and AI perspective in all aspects of work.
• Bring more than 10 years of relevant experience to the role.
• Proficient in Python, Javascript, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue is a plus.
• Knowledge of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MySQL, is advantageous.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
