We are working with a large government department sourcing candidates for the role of personal assistants, who will be supporting 1 General Manager and 2 Directors.

The roles sit within the Toi Hiranaga – Regulation & Policy Branch which regulates sectors to minimise harm to New Zealand; provides policy advice and support to Ministers, and provides advice and support to strengthen community wellbeing.

About the Roles

Ministerial Monitoring & Capability

Essentially for all three roles we are seeking candidates who have a versatile tool-kit!

You will proactive, have a real ability to be able to “read to room” as well as have the core PA skills necessary to support delivering successful outcomes across the Branch.

Day to day tasks will look like:

· Providing support to the Executive Leadership Team

· Managing diaries and in-boxes

· Schedule & coordinate team meetings & events

· Attending meetings, taking action point minutes

· Supporting governance processes

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous PA experience – especially with diary & email management
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Excellent engagement & relationship building skills
  • Adaptable to switch between different priorities
  • Advanced across MS Office Suite, especially Outlook and Teams
  • Experience within the public sector would be advantageous
