Programme & Planning Manager

Our client is looking for an experience programme & planning manager to join their busy team based in South Auckland, they are a well renowned brand in the transport and Logistics sector.

This role will see you being responsible for the programme management and developing programmes of work that align with delivering strategy. You will be leading projects and task delivery. You enjoy focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, improving cross functional collaboration and ways of working. You can expect to create, maintain, review, and administer a forecast of labour and transport requirements throughout the year. The role will allow you to develop, execute and maintain/manage a quarterly planning cycles, incorporating customer insights, while liaise with Branch Managers to develop plans for the future quarter to manage cost/EBIT vs Service Performance (DIFOT) and share current customer trends.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

  • Managing the day-to-day transport service demands of the customer sites from receipt of transport orders to delivery of products to end customers using state-of-the-art systems and business processes.
  • Using excellent judgement and highly developed analytical skills to deliver high quality decisions.
  • Developing and maintaining exceptional relationships with customer operational staff, carriers, and internal staff

WHAT WILL YOU BRING:

  • 5 + Years experience working in a similar role within the Transport, Supply Chain and Logistics industry, you may have worked in an FMCG environment.
  • A strong analytic mindset, who enjoys reading high volumes of data.
  • You will have a great understanding of project management and process improvement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills are needed for this role
