DevOps Engineer

Salt Talent Search is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer on a 12-month extendable contract for a leading television network client.

Description:

• Develop tools for deployment and monitoring of highly available, mission critical services in support of products being developed or operated by our APAC team primarily
• Integral to operational excellence, define and deploy new mechanisms for measuring our performance and enhance existing ones
• Identify service health optimization through new monitoring opportunities as our platform evolves
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical build and development issues
• Automate provisioning of services where possible
• Ensure that performance monitoring is tuned to the scale of the platform
• Impart knowledge to new team members
• Document processes for reference by others and ensure adherence to, and positive contribution to our processes and routines

Qualification:

• 5+ years experience as DevOps engineer
• Highly proficient with AWS, container and serverless infrastructure
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Experience with Restful GraphQL API frameworks
• Proficient with Serverless application framework
• Cloudformation, Terraform, CDK (preferred)
• Datadog, Splunk, New Relic (DD preferred), or substantive experience with other platforms
• Comfortable interpreting technical information and communicating learnings to stakeholders
• Strong communicator
• Team player – volunteering information and collaborating with colleagues
• Comfortable in a fluid environment
• JIRA/Confluence
• On Call for live services for which our team has oversight
