Product Design Director

Brand new emerging sector that is absolutely changing not just the US but the world. If you’re a designer that is interested in being at the forefront of an industry – then this is something worth having a chat about.

They’re a start-up – but they’re revenue generating and they just raised another massive round of funding that made headlines around the country. I’ve been building their Product Design team and helping them scale over the last 12 months and I’m excited to now work with them again to find an experience Director of Product Design to lead their team and really bring the vision into focus.

This is a brand new marketplace they are creating and this director role will be the most snr design role within the organisation – you will be the design leader and voice – growing the team and leading the design decisions.

If you’re driven by scaling a design team whilst being hands on – this is the kind of team where you’ll flourish and feel fulfilled.

– You’ll be an end to end Product Designer that can show experience across Product Strategy, UX and UI – it’s the full package!

– You’ve led teams before, even if only small – you still have that experience and know how to hire and direct objectives

– You’ve scaled a Product – ideally helping it grow and knowing how to prioritise as the User Base increases

– You’ve had some experience with Design Systems – this will be one of the projects on the roadmap for them

– You have an affinity for eCommerce/marketplace type platforms – experience here is going to be massively advantageous.

*Grads/Jnr UX Designers – I know you’re really busting to get into the industry, maybe you just graduated and are going for it – but honestly, this is not a position you’ll get a look in on. You’ve really got to have substantial commercial experience in Product Design to get you a look in. If you’re a grad and you apply, I’ll know you didn’t read this and then I’ll have a tough time believing you really do have “attention to detail”.
