External Communications Manager

Salt is partnering with a financial trading organization who operate in markets around the world with their focus on technology. The company is looking to bring on a seasoned External Communications Manager to transform their brand and build awareness through storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Create strategic communications plans including identifying media and speaking opportunities, providing counsel to the business leaders and serving as the spokesperson
• Transform brand perception through refining the brand narrative, collaborating with the social media team and identifying opportunities
• Ensure alignment of messaging and provide an understanding of strategic communications
• Manage global external agency relationships
• Collaborate with different departments to help with talent acquisition

Experience needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in PR/ Communications/Marketing/Journalism
• 8+ years of related communications and media relations experience
• Finance/tech industry experience
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skill set
• Ability to partner and communicate with internal stakeholders
• An true interest in financial services and adept at project management
• Experience managing a team, directly or on projects
