Salt is partnering with THE real estate marketplace to hire an SEM Analyst. This is a PERM, full-time role, ideally based out of Austin, TX. This role will be responsible for executing and optimizing paid search programs; you will sit within the in-house SEM team; this role is a 50/50 split between data analyst and marketing manager.
You will combine your skills as a search marketer, performance optimizer, and channel leader to align paid search performance in a high-visibility position with scope for creativity and self-development.
Your responsibilities:
- Help develop business strategy and implement tactical channel plans for emerging lines of businesses; informing and iterating with product and business teams to extract maximum value from the SEM program
- Use SQL to write and queries that pull data from multiple sources
- Practical use of Python and/or R to develop projections and forecasts
- Build Tableau dashboards to illustrate and articulate performance trends
- Translate campaign objectives into paid search programs including defining and building target audiences
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals to adapt strategy & go-to-market execution
- Develop media plans, audience journeys, and briefing documents to inform agencies and internal stakeholders
- Analyze KPIs and optimize and improve performance to achieve demand generation goals
- Document insights to improve lead conversion, investment mix and program ROAS and ROI
- Work with Data Science on test and measurement plan, including continuous multivariate testing
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and 3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search in-house or at a performance agency
- Practical use of data science based analyses (incl. programming languages Python and R)
- Intermediate SQL skills – ability to write queries that pull data from multiple sources
- Deep familiarity with all digital marketing metrics including CPA, CPC, CPM and ROAS
- Experience using and optimizing paid search campaigns using Google Adwords, SA360, and/or Adobe Marketing Cloud
- Experience with PM tools (i.e. Atlassian, Zendesk, Asana, Trello, and/or Github)
- Experience with web analytics software (i.e. Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics)
- Excel skills w/ experience building complex spreadsheets, with pivot tables, multi-function formulas and elaborate graphs
